# Crystal Palace: Fans react to Conor Gallagher update

**Chelsea are [hoping](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1491220/Chelsea-Conor-Gallagher-total-belief-Blues-premier-league-news) that Crystal Palace loanee Conor Gallagher can step up into the first-team at Stamford Bridge next season.**

And, as to be expected, a number of Palace fans have been reacting to the news on social media.

Gallagher has made quite the impression at Selhurst Park following his [season-long loan](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58013275) move in the summer.

The 21-year-old was named [man of the match](https://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/first-team/conor-gallagher-earns-first-player-of-the-month-vote-with-huge-total/2021-09-13/) against Brentford, scored [twice](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/conor-gallagher/leistungsdaten/spieler/488362) in a 2-2 draw with West Ham and registered an [assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/conor-gallagher/leistungsdaten/spieler/488362) in a 3-0 win over Tottenham.

As a result, the midfielder was named Palace’s [Player of the Month](https://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/first-team/conor-gallagher-earns-first-player-of-the-month-vote-with-huge-total/2021-09-13/) for August, however, a permanent move to the club doesn’t look likely.

According to [Eurosport](https://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/transfers/2020-2021/harry-kane-may-yet-sign-new-tottenham-contract-but-manchester-city-have-moved-on-transfer-notebook_sto8540917/story.shtml), cited by [The Daily Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1491220/Chelsea-Conor-Gallagher-total-belief-Blues-premier-league-news), Chelsea have total belief in Gallagher and will reward him with a first-team opportunity under Thomas Tuchel next season if he continues his impressive form under Patrick Vieira.
