# Crystal Palace: Fans react to Joachim Andersen update

**Crystal Palace are closing in on a £20m deal for defender Joachim Andersen, according to [The Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9821613/Crystal-Palace-brink-signing-centre-Joachim-Andersen-20m-Lyon.html).**

And, as to be expected, a number of Eagles fans have been sharing their positive thoughts to the update on social media.

[The Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9821613/Crystal-Palace-brink-signing-centre-Joachim-Andersen-20m-Lyon.html) report that Palace are hopeful of concluding a deal for Andersen, who spent last season on loan at Fulham.

The 25-year-old made [31](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joachim-andersen/leistungsdaten/spieler/260827/plus/0?saison=2020) appearances under Scott Parker last season, [captaining](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joachim-andersen/leistungsdaten/spieler/260827/plus/0?saison=2020) the club on multiple occasions.

Patrick Vieira has already bolstered his defensive ranks with the acquisition of [Marc Guehi](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57882196) from Chelsea and it seems as if Andersen will be the next through the door.

The [report](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9821613/Crystal-Palace-brink-signing-centre-Joachim-Andersen-20m-Lyon.html) also adds that Palace remain in talks for Schalke centre-back Ozan Kabak, despite the development with Andersen.
