# Crystal Palace: Fans react to Lampard update

**A number of Crystal Palace supporters have been reacting to a report on Frank Lampard, who has supposedly been [sounded out](https://www.footballinsider247.com/celtic-target-howe-on-three-man-palace-shortlist/) by the Eagles as a potential replacement for Roy Hodgson.**

That’s according to a report from the [Metro](https://metro.co.uk/2021/04/14/frank-lampard-sounded-out-over-potential-premier-league-managerial-return-14406925/?ito=newsnow-feed?ito=cbshare), who claim that the former Chelsea boss is a contender to take over from Hodgson.

Hodgson is [out of contract at the end of the season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/roy-hodgson/profil/trainer/1775), with the 73-year-old admitting back in February that he is [‘undecided’](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11706/12208551/roy-hodgson-crystal-palace-boss-undecided-over-his-future) on his future at the club.

The Eagles have looked at Burnley’s Sean Dyche in the past, but it seems as if they have now [turned their focus to the available Lampard](https://metro.co.uk/2021/04/14/frank-lampard-sounded-out-over-potential-premier-league-managerial-return-14406925/?ito=newsnow-feed?ito=cbshare).

Lampard has been [out of work since January](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55794158) and has recently [admitted he has had turned down multiple offers](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/frank-lampard-offer-return-management-23888551) to return to the dugout.
