Malachi Boateng, 17, has managed to get the deal after featuring four times for the under-23s this season, [scoring once against Hull City.](https://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/2019/september/crystal-palace-under-23-malachi-boateng-signs-professional-contract/)

Boateng is the brother of former Palace graduate Hiram, who is now plying his trade in [League One with MK Dons.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/hiram-boateng/leistungsdaten/spieler/244125)

Hiram Boateng is one of few Palace graduates who have managed to get a first-team debut for the club since the Eagles have been back in the Premier League, making three appearances ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/hiram-boateng/leistungsdaten/spieler/244125)), and you can only imagine Malachi would like to better that and become a regular for the club down the line.

Boateng is described by the [club’s official website](https://www.cpfc.co.uk/teams/u18-team/defender/malachi-boateng/) as a central player who can play in both defence and midfield.

Palace fans were happy to see a youngster sign a deal at the club. Many replied to the announcement with congratulations for the player, while others encouraged the club to give him a chance in the first-team in the near future.

Here are some of the responses below…
