# Crystal Palace: Fans react to Matt Woosnam post

**Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have been reacting to a Twitter post from [The Athletic’s Eagles correspondent Matt Woosnam](https://twitter.com/MattWoosie/status/1395690972705705989).**

[The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/2596747/2021/05/21/the-scale-by-how-much-leeds-united-outrun-the-rest-of-the-premier-league-is-truly-staggering/?source=emp-shared-article) ran a story on Friday, highlighting just how much Leeds United run compared to the 19 other Premier League sides.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are on a different level when it comes to sprint distance and the average amount of sprints, however, Palace are[bottom of the charts](https://twitter.com/MattWoosie/status/1395690972705705989) when it comes to those respective tables.

Palace have comfortably been the worst side in the division for running output, with Roy Hodgson leading the club.

He’ll [leave at the end of the season](https://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/2021/may/roy-hodgson-to-step-down-as-crystal-palace-manager/), though, and Palace look set for a summer rebuild, with [12](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11706/12310175/next-crystal-palace-manager-frank-lampard-eddie-howe-high-among-contenders-as-eagles-look-to-new-era) players out of contract in a matter of weeks.

### Palace fans react

In fact, [Palace were so far down they were nowhere to be seen on the initial sprinting table](https://twitter.com/FootyAccums/status/1395655071891922944), but [Woosnam relayed an amended version on Twitter on Friday morning](https://twitter.com/MattWoosie/status/1395690972705705989).

These Eagles fans wish he didn’t, though, with one describing Palace’s position as ‘pathetic’.
