# Crystal Palace: Fans react to Nathan Ferguson update

**Crystal Palace are yet to pay West Brom for defender Nathan Ferguson, [The Express and Star](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/west-bromwich-albion/2021/09/09/west-brom-still-waiting-for-nathan-ferguson-tribunal/) report.**

And, as to be expected, a number of Palace fans have been reacting to the update on social media.

The Eagles [signed](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53490932) Ferguson last year after his Baggies contract expired and months on after an [£11m](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/west-bromwich-albion/2021/09/09/west-brom-still-waiting-for-nathan-ferguson-tribunal/) transfer fell through.

Unfortunately, the defender is [yet](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nathan-ferguson/leistungsdaten/spieler/507254) to make a senior appearance at Selhurst Park due to a number of injuries – the latest being a [serious achilles](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/west-bromwich-albion/2021/09/09/west-brom-still-waiting-for-nathan-ferguson-tribunal/) problem.

However, as Ferguson is under 24 years of age, West Brom are [entitled](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/west-bromwich-albion/2021/09/09/west-brom-still-waiting-for-nathan-ferguson-tribunal/) to compensation from the Eagles, despite his off-field problems at Palace.

[The Express and Star](https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/west-bromwich-albion/2021/09/09/west-brom-still-waiting-for-nathan-ferguson-tribunal/) shared an update on Thursday, believing a tribunal still hasn’t taken place to determine a fee for the [£34,000-a-week](https://salarysport.com/football/player/nathan-ferguson/#:~:text=Nathan%20Ferguson%20earns%20%C2%A334%2C000,contract%20expires%20June%2030%2C%202023) defender, over 12 months on after leaving The Hawthorns.
