# Crystal Palace: Fans react to Odsonne Edouard update

**Crystal Palace are weighing up a move for Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard, according to [The Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2021/08/17/slavisa-jokanovic-warns-arsenal-aaron-ramsdale-wont-come-cheap/?utm_content=football&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1629210851).**

However, [Ed Aarons](https://twitter.com/ed_aarons/status/1427687978277670912) of The Guardian claimed on Tuesday evening that the Hoops are yet to receive a “serious offer” for the forward, which has led to a number of Palace fans reacting to the update on social media.

Edouard, who was described as [‘magnificent’](https://www.glasgowlive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/magnificent-celtic-star-odsonne-edouard-19524116) by Neil Lennon last season, is still [working](https://www.givemesport.com/1725151-exclusive-odsonne-edouard-still-working-on-celtic-exit-after-leicester-transfer-snub) on a Celtic Park exit this summer.

He is into the [final 12 months](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/odsonne-edouard/profil/spieler/344152) of his Hoops contract and Palace are thought to be interested in the 23-year-old’s services.

They, or any other club, are yet to make a bid that has tested Celtic’s resolve, though, according to [Aarons](https://twitter.com/ed_aarons/status/1427687978277670912).

Palace want to sign a [midfielder and two forwards](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9894977/Crystal-Palace-chasing-Hughes-midfielder-turns-new-deal-Watford.html) for Patrick Vieira before the window slams shut at the end of the month.
