# Crystal Palace: Fans react to Rak-Sakyi goal

**Crystal Palace midfielder Jesurun Rak-Sakyi [netted](https://twitter.com/CPFCAcademy/status/1434951297581654025) on his England Under-20 debut on Monday.**

And, as to be expected, a number of Palace supporters were quick to react to the news on social media.

Rak-Sakyi was called up to the squad at the beginning of the month after Everton’s [Anthony Gordon](https://twitter.com/MattWoosie/status/1433027748096790528) pulled out.

The 18-year-old, who signed his first [professional](https://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/academy/jesurun-rak-sakyi-signs-professional-deal/2021-04-12/) Palace contract in April, made his Eagles [debut](https://www.football.london/crystal-palace-fc/jesurun-rak-sakyi-receives-first-21458976) under Patrick Vieira at the beginning of the season and has now made his first appearance for England’s Under-20 side.

He came on for Manchester City’s James McAtee with [13](https://www.flashscore.co.uk/match/hG8IF169/#match-summary/match-summary) minutes remaining and scored his nation’s final goal in stoppage time to round off a comfortable [6-1](https://www.flashscore.co.uk/match/hG8IF169/#match-summary/match-summary) win.
