**Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have been reacting to a recent managerial update on social media.**

According to a report from [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/celtic-news-howe-sounded-out-by-palace/), Burnley’s Sean Dyche is now the favourite to take over from Roy Hodgson in the summer.

They have been informed by an [Eagles source](https://www.footballinsider247.com/celtic-palace-howe-dyche-twist/) that ‘Dyche figures most prominently in the thoughts of the board’, which comes as a welcome boost to Scottish giants Celtic, who are attempting to land Eddie Howe.

Palace had [spoken to Howe](https://www.footballinsider247.com/celtic-news-howe-sounded-out-by-palace/), but it seems as if Dyche is now the frontrunner for the Selhurst Park hot seat ahead of the 2021/22 season.

[Reports](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9419945/Burnley-turn-Chris-Wilder-Sean-Dyche-decides-leave-Turf-Moor-summer.html) elsewhere have suggested that should Dyche move to the capital, Palace would need to pay Burnley around [£3.5m in compensation](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9419945/Burnley-turn-Chris-Wilder-Sean-Dyche-decides-leave-Turf-Moor-summer.html).
