Most transfer windows for those associated with Crystal Palace are stressful ones, with talisman Wilfried Zaha always linked with a move away, and Carlton Palmer has predicted he will leave the club in the near future.
What Palmer had to say about Zaha
Speaking to Give Me Sport about the future of the attacker, Palmer said: “At some point he’s going to go. I know clubs are interested in him and Everton offered about £50m for him before. If he keeps performing the way he is, yeah, I think he will go.”
Constant worry for Palace
There is no doubting the quality of the Ivorian, and he is in the form of his life as he has managed nine goals and two assists in his 17 Premier League appearances this campaign.
Roy Hodgson has praised Zaha a lot this season, hailing him as ‘excellent‘ after a victory against Fulham back in October. He drooled over the display against the Cottagers in which Zaha scored the decisive second goal in a 2-1 win.
It may soon be impossible to keep the winger happy at Palace as he has stated his desire to push himself at the highest level. Sadly for supporters, the South London side is not the highest level that Zaha could play at, and this is proven by the calibre of sides who appear to be interested in him. Palmer is right, if Zaha continues scoring this season, then it may become almost impossible to stop him leaving in the summer.
