Crystal Palace have officially signed versatile teenager Kelvin Agho.

The Lowdown: Agho profiled

Agho is 18 years of age and has progressed through the Hypebuzz Academy in Nigeria.

He has been described as an ‘all-rounder’ who can play as a left-back, on the wing or in attack, and has represented his country at all youth levels under the age of 17.

The Latest: Palace deal

Palace confirmed a move for Agho on their official website on Monday.

The Eagles added that the youngster penned terms with the club at the beginning of the month, though they seem to have kept that under wraps until now.

He has since completed a loan move to Slovakian side STK 1914 Samorin for the rest of the season.

The Verdict: Exciting

This news has come out of the blue, so it will be interesting to see how Agho gets on in the Slovakian second division.

The Eagles are clearly looking long towards the future, though, with Agho one of a number of exciting youngsters to join the club this year after Luke Plange and Malcolm Ebiowei.

Hopefully, Agho will get to play senior football regularly for the first time with STK 1914 Samorin, who are currently fifth in the league after nine rounds of fixtures, and you'd think Palace have an upgraded loan move in mind next season rather than chucking him straight into the first-team when he returns.
