Many Crystal Palace fans have been angered by Jordan Ayew’s poor performance away to Champions League holders Chelsea on the opening day of the Premier League season.

In a fixture in which the Ghana international has struggled to exert his influence on proceedings, he has incurred a wave of criticism in the first competitive encounter of the new campaign.

Despite predominantly being used as a striker throughout his career, Ayew was utilised in a wide position away to London rivals Chelsea, which has prompted much discussion amongst the Palace support.
