Crystal Palace: Fans react to Alexander Sorloth comments

A lot of Crystal Palace fans are reacting to the comments of loaned out striker Alexander Sorloth, who is currently playing for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
Speaking to TV2 Premier League podcast, the striker commented on his time in South London and believes he wasn’t given enough time to make a name for himself in the Premier League.
He also expressed how his confidence took a blow whilst at the club. On the podcast, via CPFC NEWS HQ, he spoke about his lack of minutes in the division and said, “I tried to think positively, but didn’t get a minute for the rest of the season. It went beyond my self-confidence when I couldn’t play anymore after the first four games, where I felt I had been decent.”
In Turkey, he has had an impressive season, making 26 appearances and scoring 19 goals, via WhoScored. Current Palace striker Christian Benteke has only played nine times for the club this season but if you compare the two, via WhoScored, Sorloth has more shots per game and also more key passes per game.
However, he did struggle during his two seasons in the Premier League, failing to score or assist a single goal, via Transfermarkt. It is still up for debate as to whether the attacker can perform in England’s top flight but it’s hard to argue against how impressive he’s been in Turkey.
Here’s what fans had to say following the player’s comments:

If he doesn’t want to come back I can’t blame him

Can’t argue with that, perfectly good goal ruled out and his confidence was shot

I don’t remember him having one good game in any that he played

Think he needed the loan to build up his confidence, I liked him but was never given a good run. I’d like him back.

i’d love him to have one more shot in the team as shown by his form in turkey but i feel we’ve already seen his last game for palace sadly
