Becoming an important player within the heart of the Eagles rear-guard, the former Republic of Ireland international went on to register 17 goal contributions in 193 appearances for the club; ten goals and seven assists [Transfermarkt].

Retiring at the age of 37-years-old [OTB Sports], the Irishman undoubtedly holds a special place in the heart of many Crystal Palace supporters due to his contribution at Selhurst Park.

Most notably, his crucial role in the 2012/13 season when his ex-employers gained promotion from the play-offs will always be remembered, keeping a clean sheet in a 1-0 defeat of Watford [The Guardian].
