Crystal Palace fan feed CPFC Transfers HQ has warned supporters not to 'fall in love with a loan player'.

The advice accompanied footage of Conor Gallagher's post-match interview following Monday night's 2-2 draw against Arsenal.

The Chelsea loanee told Sky Sports that conceding an equaliser so late in the game felt worse than a defeat. Palace had come from behind to lead 2-1 down thanks to goals from Christian Benteke and Odsonne Edouard, but Alexandre Lacazette denied them three points with a goal in the 95th minute.

How is Gallagher doing at Selhurst Park?

Gallagher has started seven of Palace's first eight Premier League matches under Patrick Vieira and, according to WhoScored metrics, he has been their top performer. He has averaged 3.5 tackles, 2.6 shots and one successful dribble per 90 minutes up to this point, illustrating his all-round quality in the middle of the park.

It remains to be seen whether the 21-year-old, who is valued at £13.5m by Transfermarkt, joins the Eagles permanently or takes up a place in Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea squad come next season.

Here's what these Palace fans had to say in response to the aforementioned tweet.
