Plenty of Crystal Palace fans have been reacting to an update regarding former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.

The Eagles are on the search for a new manager after it was announced that Roy Hodgson will leave the club at the end of the season.

Lampard, who left Stamford Bridge in January, was thought to be closing in on a Selhurst Park switch, however, according to Football Insider, that has now changed.

They claim that the 42-year-old has now pulled out of the race to take over and doesn’t want to be considered for the vacant post going forward.

The report adds that Lampard views the position as a huge rebuilding job and fears they will get sucked into a relegation battle next season, leaving Palace surprised.
