Crystal Palace: Luka Milivojevic declared fit to face West Bromwich Albion - Crystal Palace News

Many Crystal Palace fans are reacting to the news that Luka Milivojevic is now available for selection again and could feature against West Brom.

The midfielder was suspended due to a red card he was given against Wolves. He also tested positive for COVID-19 during this period.

Roy Hodgson has now revealed: “Luka is back and knocking on my door for first team selection.”

One would think that many Palace fans would be happy for his return, but it is the opposite – with the Serbia international’s form leaving plenty to be desired.

In the Premier League so far this campaign, the player has managed 0.3 tackles and 0.7 interceptions per game (WhoScored). These stats are very poor, especially for a defensive midfielder.

His rough form might not be the only thing stopping him getting back into the starting eleven too. Jairo Riedewald has impressed in the middle of the pitch – he has been much better at supporting the defence as he has managed 1.6 tackles per game. This highlights that it would be very harsh to drop him against West Bromwich Albion.
