Wilfried Zaha's future at Crystal Palace remains uncertain ahead of a potential exit during the summer transfer window, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Lowdown: Zaha linked with exit

The 30-year-old has continued to be one of the Eagles' most influential players this season, registering eight goal involvements (six goals and two assists) in 19 Premier League appearances.

Zaha has been linked with a move away from Selhurst Park, however, with various top clubs backed to snap him up once this season reaches its conclusion.

The Ivorian is out of contract at Palace at the end of the campaign, at which point he will need to decide whether to sign an extension or leave on a free transfer.

The Latest: Romano drops update

Speaking to Caught Offside, Romano claimed that Zaha's future is still up in the air, although the Eagles haven't reached the stage of looking at potential replacements:

"There’s no decision yet on Wilfried Zaha, and the situation remains open. Patrick Vieira wants him to stay but it’s up to the player, we will see what he will decide. For sure, the club are not yet in the process of deciding replacements…it’s still February, too early."

The Verdict: Will he stay loyal again?

This summer feels like a pivotal one in Zaha's career, having become a genuine Palace legend down the years, scoring 89 times in a total of 450 appearances, also being hailed as 'absolutely outstanding' by Ally McCoist.

At 30, he could feel that this is now his final chance to seal a high-profile move before he drifts past his peak - an outcome that would be an undoubted blow for Patrick Vieira.

The £130,000-a-week-earning Zaha has been incredibly loyal in the past, however, and the hope is that he again sees his future in south London, seeing out the rest of his career there.

It would be hard for Palace fans to begrudge him a move, in fairness, should a big club come in for him, but a new deal would arguably feel better than any new signing.
