Crystal Palace: Tottenham interested in Marc Guehi

Tottenham are interested in signing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, according to Sami Mokbel.
The Lowdown: Guehi under Vieira
Guehi made the move to Selhurst Park back in 2021 from Chelsea and has gone from strength to strength under Patrick Vieira. The 22-year-old has made 65 appearances for Palace and has seen his Transfermarkt valuation soar from €10m to a career-high €35m.
He has struck up a solid partnership with Joachim Andersen at the back, and his displays appear to have caught the eye across London.
The Latest: Double exit?
Mokbel, chief reporter for The Daily Mail, writes that Wilfried Zaha is yet to inform Palace chiefs of his future, with a new contract on the table for several weeks.
The journalist also said that Spurs are keen to secure Guehi’s services, and that the Eagles could be tempted to sell in a deal worth £45m.
The Verdict: Keep
Guehi, lauded as a “giant” by talent scout Jacek Kulig, has been a solid performer once again this season, featuring in 20 Premier League games.
He ranks highly in the Palace squad for interceptions and clearances made per 90 as well as passes made and pass success percentage, as per WhoScored.
Still just 22 years of age, you’d expect that Guehi will only get better before hitting his prime, so cashing in over the summer could be the wrong decision.
