Crystal Palace are still without a Premier League win in 2022 after losing 1-0 to Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

It seemed as if Patrick Vieira’s side would take a point from Selhurst Park after Hakim Ziyech saw a goal ruled out with 15 minutes remaining. However, the Chelsea man popped up at the back post in the 89th minute with an effort that stood to give the visitors the three points.

We’ve used statistical experts SofaScore to analyse Palace’s three worst outfield performers to have played at least 45 minutes.

In total, these players lost the ball a whopping 56 times, were second best in 22 of their aerial and ground duels and completed just 35% of their dribbled combined.

Wilfried Zaha – 6.2/10

First up is Zaha, who played centrally in a 4-2-3-1 system. He gave the ball away 21 times, lost eight of his 13 duels and also missed a big chance for the hosts.

Zaha also completed just three of his seven attempted dribbles and had two shots off target, making it an afternoon to forget for the 29-year-old.

Jeffrey Schlupp – 6.3/10

Next on the list is Schlupp, who only just bettered Zaha’s rating playing out on the left-hand side.

He made five dribble attempts on the wing but only completed one, lost 10 of his 17 duels and lost possession on 19 occasions.

Schlupp also made two fouls and was dribbled past three times, while he also failed to complete a cross or have a shot on target.

Jordan Ayew – 6.7/10

Last on the list is Ayew, who played on the right-hand side and was replaced with five minutes remaining.

Like Schlupp, Ayew also failed to complete a cross or have a shot on goal and was successful in one of two dribble attempts.

He gave the ball away 16 times, lost four of his 11 duels and had just 48 touches of the ball before coming off for Eberechi Eze.
