Crystal Palace: Fans react to Thomas Tuchel’s comments on Conor Gallagher -Crystal Palace

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel heaped praise on Crystal Palace loanee Conor Gallagher on Friday, and a number of Palace supporters on social media were quick to react to the German’s comments.

Gallagher, who made the move across London on a season-long loan, has starred under Patrick Vieira this season, winning two Palace Player of the Month awards and topping their WhoScored performance charts by some distance.

The 21-year-old has scored four times and registered two assists in 10 Premier League games, with his latest strike coming in the 2-0 win over Wolves on Saturday.

However, 24 hours prior to that performance, Tuchel was full of praise when asked about the midfielder. Cited by Blues reporter Nizaar Kinsella, the Chelsea boss had this to say on Gallagher:

“He is standing out every single week. We could have imagined that he stays but the talks came up with Patrick Vieira at Crystal Palace, he wanted to take up the challenge and everyone agreed on it”

Those comments had plenty of Palace fans talking about the midfielder, who many Palace supporters were urging their club to sign permanently following his goal at the weekend.

“Sounds like he really likes Gallagher. No chance we get him permanently unless he pushes for the move himself which I doubt will happen”
