# Crystal Palace: Club join the battle for Radu Dragusin

**Many Crystal Palace fans are reacting to the latest transfer rumour which suggests that the south London side are interested in defender Radu Dragusin.**

According to [Gazzetta dello Sport](https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Calciomercato/Juventus/17-02-2021/juventus-dragusin-rinnovo-ultime-news-400741683138.shtml), and tweeted out by [@Palace\_Transfer](https://twitter.com/Palace_Transfer/status/1362023457983258627?s=20), Palace have joined Newcastle and Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in the race to sign the talented defender.

The [6 ft 3](https://www.google.com/search?q=1.91m+in+feet&oq=1.91m+&aqs=chrome.0.0j69i57j0l6.1697j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8) centre-back currently plays at Serie A giants Juventus, but has only played 22 minutes of football this season ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/400097/Show/Radu-Dragusin)). However with him only being 19 years-old, his lack of game-time is understandable, and the mere fact of him being involved in the senior squad suggests that he is a player for the future.

He has four appearances for the U19 Romanian side ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/radu-dr%C4%83gu%C8%99in/profil/spieler/568559)) and he could be an ideal acquisition for Palace. It might be a risk due to his lack of football this campaign, but the Eagles have an [ageing defence](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/crystal-palace/startseite/verein/873) and it is starting to show as they have conceded the [second-most goals](https://www.sofascore.com/tournament/football/england/premier-league/17) in the division. A revamp is needed at the back, and Dragusin could help start the rebuild.
