# Crystal Palace: Reports suggest club are interested in signing Danny Loader

**Reading striker Danny Loader has [left](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53192544#:~:text=Forward%20Danny%20Loader%20will%20leave,including%20Crystal%20Palace%20and%20Leeds.) the club after failing to agree a new contract. It looks like Crystal Palace are keen to sign him on a free transfer and a lot of the Palace fan base are reacting to this news**.

According to [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/transfer-centre), on hearing of his availability, the Eagles are trying to sign the[English U17 World Cup](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/danny-loader/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/392767/verein/1032) winner as soon as possible. Portuguese club Vitoria SC are also keen on the [19-year old](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/danny-loader/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/392767/verein/1032), but the Eagles have offered the forward a three-year deal.

However he is still young and clearly Palace have identified that he has potential and they might as well take the risk on a player as he is a free transfer.

> Was linked with a few clubs last year, can’t say it will be a great signing with only 1 goal across 21 matches in the 2018-19 season. Then again he’s 19 and has potential. Wouldn’t ever feature most likely and probs just to lower squad age.
