# Crystal Palace: Striker Alexander Sorloth attracting interest from Real Madrid

**Crystal Palace striker Alexander Sorloth is attracting interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid, that is according to a report from [AsistAnaliz](https://www.asistanaliz.com/futbol/trabzonspor-sorlothun-fiyatini-real-madride-iletti-a57657).**

The Norwegian is currently spending the season on loan at Turkish outfit Trabzonspor, where he has been bang in form of late.

According to the report, Los Blancos have been sending scouts to watch the 24-year-old who has been excellent in the Super Lig this season, scoring 19 goals in just 22 appearances ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alexander-sorloth/leistungsdaten/spieler/238407)).

The La Liga club could be prepared to pay £42 million for Sorloth, but there is a catch and it is not good news for Crystal Palace. Indeed, there is reportedly a clause in the player’s loan deal which means that Trabzonspor can choose to buy the player for just £5 million.

So they would therefore miss out on the huge sum that could be offered by Real Madrid, whilst the Turks could buy the striker and sell him straight away for a very tidy profit of £37 million.

If this happens and Sorloth does move to Real Madrid for such a sizeable fee, then it would highlight a massive mistake on Crystal Palace’s part.

Whilst the Norway international didn’t perform well enough for them, in fact, he scored just one goal in 20 games in all competitions ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/alexander-sorloth/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/238407)), including an option-to-buy clause in his loan deal has handed all the power to Trabzonspor.

They could now miss out on £37 million, which would be a huge kick in the teeth financially. Added to that it would also mean that they lose a striker who has been banging in goals for fun permanently, at a time where their current strikers (Christian Benteke, Jordan Ayew and Cenk Tosun) have scored just eight goals between them ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/crystal-palace/leistungsdaten/verein/873)).
