Crystal Palace have been linked with Christian Kouame in the past, and reports suggest that they are still keen on the star ahead of the January transfer window.
The latest on Kouame
According to La Repubblica, via SportsWitness, Palace haven’t given up on the player, and signing Kouamé remains on their agenda. They tried to sign him before, but he suffered an injury which meant the deal was called off.
Apparently, Roy Hodgson’s side would have to make a ‘really impressive offer’ to get Kouamé as Fiorentina feel they will need to sign a replacement if they let him go.
Would this be a good signing for Palace?
The 24-year-old, who is valued at £15.75 million on Transfermarkt currently plays in the Serie A. He has a decent – albeit hardly prolific -record across his career so far as he has 33 goals and 29 assists in 192 appearances.
This season hasn’t been great for the player, however, as he has only managed to score one goal in 12 league appearances. The player has clearly been inconsistent this campaign as he has only started in five of these games, which is another reason why he could potentially be on the move.
