Crystal Palace: Dann reportedly attracting a lot of interest from many PL sides - Crystal Palace Transfer Rumours

Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann is coming to the latter stages of his career, but his quality is still there for all to see as he continues to be an integral part of the squad.

Clearly it has been noticed by not those just associated with the Eagles as he is the latest player at the club to be attracting some interest from other sides in the division.

The latest reports on Dann

According to the Sun (1 November, page 59) various unnamed Premier League sides are keen to try and sign the defender on a cheap deal in January. Crystal Palace will have to think wisely about this as they could lose Dann for free at the end of the season.

In the summer transfer window, Fulham were heavily linked as they tried to fix their issues at the back so they could be one of the interested sides.

Should Palace cash in on the defender?

The 33 year-old veteran has made 169 appearances for Palace, and he proved last season that he can still thrive in the Premier League as him and Gary Cahill managed four clean sheets in a row in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).

The centre-back, who is a former Player of the Year winner at the club, has featured three times this campaign already.

Cahill, Mamadou Sakho and James Tomkins have all struggled over the last year with injuries. Therefore it seems like a no-brainer to keep Dann at the club. It benefits all parties.

For Dann, it means he doesn’t have to start again at a new club and for Palace, they keep a great quality player to ensure that they have enough squad depth.
