Crystal Palace are set to sign Reading midfielder Michael Olise, according to The Athletic’s Palace reporter Matt Woosnam.

And, as to be expected, a number of Eagles supporters have been sharing their thoughts on the transfer news on social media.

Woosnam shared a story on Tuesday evening, revealing Palace have agreed on a deal with the Royals for the 19-year-old.

Olise has been on the Eagles’ radar since January and looks set to become Patrick Vieira’s first signing as Palace boss.

The teenager has already made 73 senior appearances for Reading and is valued at £13.5m by Transfermarkt – the sixth highest in the second tier.

Olise has already played in seven different positions during his career, so looks set to bring plenty of versatility to Vieira’s squad.

Palace fans react

Woosnam shared the news regarding Olise on Twitter, with his post receiving plenty of interaction.

These Eagles fans were delighted, with one describing the update as ‘unreal’.
