Many Crystal Palace fans are reacting to the news that young academy star Rob Street has headed out on loan. The player will be playing in the National League until the end of the season.
The South London side recently announced on Twitter that the U23’s forward has joined Torquay United on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 19 year-old (Transfermarkt), has scored four goals for Palace U23s this season. He is joining a very in-form side as Torquay sit at the top of the National League. They are also eight points clear of second place (SofaScore).
This is a great move for all parties. Palace can see how the youngster copes at a very competitive level, whilst he can get some great experience in senior football. Meanwhile, Torquay bolster their attack.
Clearly fans of the Eagles are happy to see the forward get a chance on loan, with one fan saying: ‘It will be good to see this beast get some action at a decent level’.
Here is what Palace fans said about Street heading out on loan:
“Great move for him. Reminds me of a young Glenn Murray tbh.”
“Hope you smash it Rob”
“Good loan for Rob Street can’t wait to see how he performs for the rest of the season!”
“Good move. Go smash it”
“Good luck to him”
“It will be good to see this beast get some action at a decent level”
