Crystal Palace talisman Wilfried Zaha had recently been linked to AC Milan. However, reports now suggest that there could be a bidding war for the player as Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in signing him.
The latest on Wilfried Zaha
The Eagles are reportedly bracing themselves for bids, and AC Milan might struggle to get him easily if PSG enter the race. The French giants will supposedly do this if former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino takes over at the Ligue 1 side.
This is a blow of Palace
Roy Hodgson has praised Zaha a lot this season, saying after the earlier victory against Fulham: ‘He’s an excellent player.’ He drooled over the display against the Cottagers in which Zaha scored the decisive second goal in a 2-1 win.
There is no doubting the quality of the Ivorian, and he is in the form of his life as he has managed eight goals and two assists in his 14 Premier League appearances this campaign.
It would be very surprising if Palace let their talisman go in the January transfer window as it would be very hard to replace him. Clearly many supporters will feel like this news is not what they want to hear and they will be hoping that a move doesn’t come to fruition.
However, it might be impossible to keep the winger happy at Palace as he has stated his desire to push himself at the highest level. Sadly for supporters, the South London side is not the highest level that Zaha could play at, and this is proven by the calibre of sides who appear to be interested in him.
