Crystal Palace are still keen on signing transfer target Ozan Tufan from Fenerbahce, however, the latest reports provide an update which could come as big blow for the Eagles.
The latest on Tufan
It was reported recently that both Palace and West Bromwich Albion had made bids of around €10 for the midfielder, but it looks like both will need to pay 50% more than that amount if they wish to sign the player.
Would he be a good signing for Palace?
The 25-year-old Turkish international is versatile and has shown his quality for both club and country this season. He has managed, on average, 1.6 tackles and 1.2 interceptions per game. Offensively, he has managed 1.5 shots and 1.1 key passes per game. He has also scored four goals and picked up four assists during this campaign. (WhoScored).
With players like James McArthur nearing the end of their careers, a move for the Turkish midfielder seems like a sensible idea, and it will be interesting to see if the South London side will go in with another bid.
Tufan is at a good age, he has a lot of experience at a very high level, both on the international stage and in Europe (Transfermarkt) and he would definitely add some great depth to the Palace squad.
