Crystal Palace: Reports suggest club are interested in signing Danny Loader

Reading striker Danny Loader has left the club after failing to agree a new contract. It looks like Crystal Palace are keen to sign him on a free transfer and a lot of the Palace fan base are reacting to this news.
According to Sky Sports, on hearing of his availability, the Eagles are trying to sign the English U17 World Cup winner as soon as possible. Portuguese club Vitoria SC are also keen on the 19-year old, but the Eagles have offered the forward a three-year deal.
The striker was great for the youth squad at Reading, playing 56 times and scoring 29 goals as well as picking up seven assists, via Transfermarkt. This saw him get promoted to the first team, but his goal contribution has not been as good in the Championship as he has only managed two goals and one assist in 35 appearances, via Transfermarkt.
However he is still young and clearly Palace have identified that he has potential and they might as well take the risk on a player as he is a free transfer.
Here is what fans are saying following the news, with many liking the idea of getting him largely because of his youthful age:

Was linked with a few clubs last year, can’t say it will be a great signing with only 1 goal across 21 matches in the 2018-19 season. Then again he’s 19 and has potential. Wouldn’t ever feature most likely and probs just to lower squad age.
