**Liverpool are on the verge of completing a deal to sign 15 year-old Swiss sensation Nicholas Hunziker, according to various sources including *The Daily Mirror* and *The Daily Mail.***

*The Mirror* claimed that Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish sent scout Frank McParland, Director of Academy and Player Development at Liverpool, to watch the FC Basle striker for a number of weeks and it seems the reports that came back pleased Dalglish to the point where he is ready to complete a deal for the youngster as soon as possible.

Liverpool are reportedly in a hurry to conclude the deal as other clubs across Europe are also interested in Hunziker. Juventus, Napoli, Arsenal and Newcastle are just a handful of teams who have also had their eyes on the young Swiss starlet.

Hunziker caught the attention of several teams when he scored a hat-trick for the Switzerland youth team on his debut and his progress has been closely monitored since.

Liverpool would be able to buy the 15 year-old striker for a nominal fee and they would be able to continue his development at the Liverpool academy.
