# Wolves: Fans rave over Daniel Podence transfer update

**Lots of Wolves fans have been left to rave as a transfer update emerged on Daniel Podence.**

As per [Gazzetta dello Sport](https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Calciomercato/Roma/25-05-2021/mercato-roma-podence-sergio-oliveira-ecco-chi-piace-mourinho-4101322841135.shtml), the Portugal international is interesting Jose Mourinho at AS Roma, as he had already followed and studied him while he was the manager at Tottenham Hotspur.

Podence has not had the best of seasons in an Old Gold shirt, with supporters left angry by some of his performances, notably away at [Fulham](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/wolves-news/wolves-fans-slam-daniel-podence-display/) and at home to [Sheffield United](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/wolves-news/wolves-fans-slam-daniel-podences-display/), two teams who were relegated from the Premier League.

Three goals and one assist in 25 games in total over all competitions across the 2020/21 term ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/daniel-podence/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/256977/plus/0?saison=2020&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)) is simply not a good enough return for an attacking player, and so at 25 years of age, the summer transfer window may present itself an ideal opportunity to cash in on him.
