In reports that are making the United lads get in a fair few rounds, [the Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3201243/Manchester-United-chief-executive-Ed-Woodward-touches-Barcelona-complete-22m-Pedro-signing.html) are saying that Old Trafford Chief Executive, Ed Woodward has landed in Spain in the last 24 hours to finish off a deal for the La Liga star winger.

As expected, a deal has gathered a feeling of inevitability now that the second-leg of the Spanish Super-cup has been completed.

The transfer is thought to be [worth in the region of £22 million,](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3201243/Manchester-United-chief-executive-Ed-Woodward-touches-Barcelona-complete-22m-Pedro-signing.html) and with Woodward keen to silence any [interest from rivals Manchester City and Chelsea](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3201243/Manchester-United-chief-executive-Ed-Woodward-touches-Barcelona-complete-22m-Pedro-signing.html) a like, an announcement of the signing could be imminent.

Our landlord here in the Transfer Tavern had this to say: “It is about time they sorted this one out, no Di Maria any more and United might have started well but they need that squad depth sooner rather than later!”
