# Derby County: Fans blast Duane Holmes after ‘awful’ display vs Millwall

**During Derby County’s match against Millwall this afternoon, plenty of Rams fans were not impressed with the performance of attacking midfield ace Duane Holmes after a flurry of missed chances to threaten the Lions goal.**

Holmes, who was substituted by interim boss Wayne Rooney [mid-way through the second half](https://twitter.com/dcfcofficial/status/1335257865754464256), attracted criticism following what fans deemed to be an ‘awful’ performance.

The 26-year-old had chances to threaten the Millwall goal until he was taken off, including a shot which eventually went all the way out for a throw-in.

Rooney’s side went into half time at 0-0, eventually opening the scoring through fellow attacking midfielder Jason Knight – but supporters still had plenty to say regarding Holmes.

As a result, many Rams took to Twitter and destroyed his showing – with some fans even calling it ‘shocking’ and a ‘brain fade’ – find all of their verdicts from social media down below, where they took a moment away from celebrating to lambast Holmes’ display.
