# Derby County: Holmes news enrages fans

**Lots of Derby County fans have been replying to a [tweet from The Athletic’s Derby correspondent Ryan Conway](https://twitter.com/RJConway92/status/1353659456698122244) which shared the news that Duane Holmes has completed his move from Pride Park to the Rams’ Championship rivals Huddersfield Town.**

Per Conway, Holmes has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract at The John Smith’s Stadium.

Additionally, the journalist shared that the Rams will receive no transfer fee upfront for the 26-year-old before explaining that this means Holmes is leaving Pride Park on what is ‘essentially a free transfer.’

### **So, how have these Derby County fans been reacting to this news?**
