Many Derby County fans have reacted to the club’s decision to loan Jack Marriott out to Sheffield Wednesday on deadline day.
With the domestic transfer window coming to a close on Friday, the Rams have spent £3.87m in attempt to improve their squad after finishing outside the play-off places last season.
A number of significant arrivals include Jordon Ibe and Kamil Jozwiak, whilst the Rams have also allowed plenty of players to leave Pride Park.
Joining the likes of Max Lowe and Jayden Bogle out of the club is Marriott, who is now confirmed to have joined the Owls on a season long loan deal.
Marriott, who largely played as a substitute last term for Phillip Cocu at Derby, contributed with two goals and four assists in the 32 games in which he featured.
Jack Marriott has joined @swfc on a season-long loan, with Derby also taking up the opportunity to extend his contract until the summer of 2022.
All the best, Jack 🤝

Valued at £2.4m by Transfermarkt, the 26-year-old will now look to help Sheffield Wednesday in England’s second tier and his exit from Derby has left some fans hitting out at the club for allowing the striker to leave.
Reacting via the Rams’ official Twitter account, fans took exception to Marriott’s departure, calling the decision ‘ridiculous’ and ‘terrible’…
Terrible decision. Hope Jack rediscovers his best
