# Wolves: Fans buzzing over Diego Costa transfer update

**Many Wolves fans have been buzzing as a transfer update emerged on Diego Costa.**

Speaking to [UOL](https://www.uol.com.br/esporte/colunas/mercado-da-bola/2021/06/24/diego-costa-quer-exterior-e-vai-anunciar-futuro-nas-proximas-semanas.htm), the former Chelsea striker shared that he will announce his future ‘in the coming weeks’, putting the Midlands club on red alert.

The Molineux club have [reportedly](https://www.football-espana.net/2021/06/18/wolves-eye-shock-diego-costa-move-ahead-of-2021-22) been linked with a move for Costa in the summer window recently and so they will be interested to know where he sees his future ahead of a potential return to England.

The 32-year-old would add a lot more experience to Bruno Lage’s frontline ahead of the new 2021/22 season and has already proven himself in the Premier League, scoring 52 goals and supplying a further 18 assists in 89 games over three consecutive terms in the division ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/diego-costa/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/44779/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=GB1&pos=&trainer_id=)).

Given the [long-term head injury](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11699/12146956/raul-jimenez-wolves-striker-comfortable-after-fractured-skull-operation) suffered by Raul Jimenez last campaign, Costa would be more than adequate cover for the Mexico international.
