# Euro giants ready to offer Man United skipper surprise exit route

**With another big Manchester derby on the horizon, the United fans calming their nerves in the Transfer Tavern have been fretting over this evening.**

So, reports emanating out of Italy have taken their minds off it somewhat.

According to *[CalcioMercatoWeb](https://www.calciomercatoweb.it/2016/10/25/rooney-inter-esclusivo-suning-tenta-colpaccio-giugno/#),* Inter Milan are plotting a ridiculously sensational move for Red Devils captain Wayne Rooney next summer.

The 31-year-old is out of sorts at Old Trafford and is [understood](https://www.calciomercatoweb.it/2016/10/25/rooney-inter-esclusivo-suning-tenta-colpaccio-giugno/#) to have emerged as a target for the *Nerazzurri* as they look to restore former glories themselves.

Having been taken over by Chinese investors, the England skipper is [thought](https://www.calciomercatoweb.it/2016/10/25/rooney-inter-esclusivo-suning-tenta-colpaccio-giugno/#) to be one of the names to have come across their radar recently.

It’s been a tough few years for the Italian titans ever since they won the Champions League under Jose Mourinho in 2010, having slipped down the Serie A table.

It would be a sensational move by all parties involved, though the United fans propping up the bar seem to believe the end is nigh for the country’s record goalscorer.

**Rooney to Inter Milan? Really?….**
