# Euro titans ready to replace superstar with €75m Liverpool ace

**Though there’s just so much to shout about at Anfield right now, the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been waxing poetic about the impact of Philippe Coutinho.**

Clearly, the Reds’ devastating front-line has a lot more to do it than merely the Brazilian’s presence, though the 24-year-old is undoubtedly the poster boy on Merseyside.

So, reports emanating out of Spain have come rather unwelcome to the Kop faithful propping up the bar.

[*Diario Gol*](https://www.diariogol.com/es/notices/2016/11/zidane-elige-al-fichaje-para-reemplazar-a-james-rodriguez-enel-real-madrid-67540.php) claim Real Madrid are ready to replace James Rodriguez with the former Inter Milan youngster, with the Colombian having struggled in the Spanish capital in recent seasons.

Zinedine Zidane is [reported](https://www.diariogol.com/es/notices/2016/11/zidane-elige-al-fichaje-para-reemplazar-a-james-rodriguez-enel-real-madrid-67540.php) to have told top brass at the Santiago Bernabeu he wants the *Selecao* samba star as their next big signing, following his recent improvement.

The report [claims](https://www.diariogol.com/es/notices/2016/11/zidane-elige-al-fichaje-para-reemplazar-a-james-rodriguez-enel-real-madrid-67540.php) that the Merseyside giants value the player at [€75m](https://www.diariogol.com/es/notices/2016/11/zidane-elige-al-fichaje-para-reemplazar-a-james-rodriguez-enel-real-madrid-67540.php), a similar figure they sold former star Luis Suarez for back in 2014.
