# European club switches attention from Spurs striker to Chelsea star in potential January raid

**Our resident Chelsea supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are surprised after seeing reports from[the Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ac-milan-eyeing-michy-batshuayi-9017210) today – with the publication suggesting AC Milan are to [switch their attention from Spurs’ Harry Kane](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ac-milan-eyeing-michy-batshuayi-9017210) to Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.**

The Serie A outfit [are monitoring the situation](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ac-milan-eyeing-michy-batshuayi-9017210) of the 23-year-old Belgian striker ahead of a potential January move.

The landlord here in the Tavern thinks it would be ludicrous if Antonio Conte sanctioned a move for Batshuayi to leave the London outfit in January, and feels Batshuayi is severely under-appreciated at the Premier League side.

The [£33 million](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/ac-milan-eyeing-michy-batshuayi-9017210) signing has certainly found it hard to break into the first-team at the Blues since arriving from Marseille, and as our punters quip, it’s no surprise to see rumours surfacing linking the striker with a move away from Stamford Bridge.

The majority of Blues fans here in the Tavern think that the striker has a major part to play for Chelsea this season, and agree with the landlord on this occasion, saying it would be a travesty to let the Belgian depart the club!

Our landlord has decided to trawl Youtube and has selected a video of Batshuayi showcasing his talent and ability, check out this video of the young forward, and remind yourself just how talented he is…..
