# Everton: Blues react to Kieran Trippier report

**Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier wants to return to England this summer and Everton could be a possible destination, according to a report from [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/2591909/2021/05/17/ornstein-henderson-sancho-grealish-likely-to-make-southgate-squad-alexander-arnold-likely-casualty/).**

Marcel Brands and co are said to be looking to bolster their full-back ranks, and the former Spurs star is ‘on their radar’.

Seamus Coleman has spent much of the season as [the only out-and-out right-back in the squad](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-everton/kader/verein/29), with Jonjoe Kenny out on loan at Celtic.

Manchester United are also said to be interested in the 30-year-old Trippier as a competitor for Aaron Wan-Bissaka – he has made [27 La Liga appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kieran-trippier/profil/spieler/95810) for Diego Simeone’s side this season.

He’s provided six assists in the Spanish top flight, ranking him fourth in the Atletico squad (via [BBC Sport](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/atletico-madrid/top-scorers/assists)).

The Englishman, who’s competing for a place in Gareth Southgate’s European Championships squad, could earn a La Liga winners’ medal this weekend, with Atletico two points of city rivals Real ahead of the final round of fixtures.

Fan feed [The Toffee Blues](https://twitter.com/EvertonNewsFeed/status/1394416067691393029) relayed the report, and here’s how fans reacted.
