# Everton: Fans call for youngster Anthony Gordon to get first team chance

**After scoring the opener in [Everton U23s’ 1-1 draw with PSV Eindhoven U23s](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-vs-psv-u23s-score-17173920), fans are calling for youngster Anthony Gordon to be called up to the first team.**

The 18-year-old scouser has been on fire for his boyhood club, [scoring five goals and assisting two others in just seven games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/anthony-gordon/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/503733) so far this campaign.

Gordon, who has risen spectacularly through the Toffees academy in recent seasons, [scoring 14 goals in 15 appearances for the U18s side back in 2017/2018](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/anthony-gordon/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/503733), has got supporters wondering if its the right time to elevate him to the first team for his Premier League debut.

And with one of Everton’s front men, Moise Kean, struggling to get off the mark, it could be time for Marco Silva to complete Gordon’s fairy tale rise.

One thing is definite, the fans certainly think his call-up is long overdue – with supporters flocking to Twitter and praising the youngster in full voice.
