**Everton fans were [thankful](https://twitter.com/LivEchoEFC/status/1199253970734198786) that Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard rejected a move to Goodison Park earlier in his career.**

As a youngster, Lingard was offered [trials](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jesse-lingard-explains-snubbed-liverpool-17321709) at some of the best teams in the country at the age of seven before signing for the Red Devils two years later.

However, his career could have gone down a very different path as he revealed that he could have signed for Everton.
