# Everton: Fans demand that Alex Iwobi starts more games

**Everton fans have been pleading with the club to start new signing Alex Iwobi in more games after their [2-0](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50443054) defeat against Norwich on Saturday.**

The Nigerian midfielder was [overlooked](https://www.goal.com/en-bh/news/iwobi-out-of-evertons-starting-xi-against-norwich-city/1fv0ikv1qzl0z1ghl42dvz1c8s) and Frenchman Morgan Schneiderlin was preferred as manager Marco Silva took a more [defensive](https://royalbluemersey.sbnation.com/2019/11/24/20979265/everton-0-2-norwich-city-recap-three-thoughts-defensive-mistake-weak-attack-marco-silva-sacked) approach against the Canaries, only to be brought on after the Toffees went 1-0 down in the second half.

Iwobi, 23, has started just [once](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/136824/History/Alex-Iwobi) in the Premier League this season and has made his other [five](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/136824/History/Alex-Iwobi) outings as a substitute as he continues to establish himself in the side.
