# Everton: Fans hail Fabian Delph transfer update

**Many Everton fans have been left hailing a transfer update involving the future of Fabian Delph.**

As per [The Athletic](https://theathletic.co.uk/) (via [The Toffee Blues](https://twitter.com/EvertonNewsFeed/status/1355130562365820929)), Watford are interested in signing the central midfield player before this month’s window shuts in just a few days.

This has come as a welcome relief to several members of the Goodison Park faithful, given that the former Aston Villa and Manchester City man has a very [poor](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fabian-delph/verletzungen/spieler/50362) injury record, and so he has only managed to play in a mere 27 games in all competitions over the last two consecutive terms ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fabian-delph/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/50362/plus/0?saison=&verein=29&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)).

Due to this, the 31-year-old has not really been able to truly establish himself as a regular starter in the first team at the Merseyside club, and so losing him would not seem much of a blow to Carlo Ancelotti’s team, especially if they can get a decent fee and get him off of the wage books.
