# Everton: Fans hail James Rodriguez as Real Madrid accept offer

**Many Everton fans have been hailing James Rodriguez as [Pipe Sierra](https://twitter.com/PipeSierraR/status/1298473185055313920) has reported that the Merseyside club have had an offer accepted by Real Madrid for James Rodriguez.**

As per the Spanish football journalist, the Toffees have had a €25 million bid accepted, but personal terms and image rights have not yet been agreed.

The Colombian international wishes to have a salary of €8 million plus bonuses (£134,000 per week), which would make him the highest paid player at Goodison Park.

The deal totals at €33 million, which is the equivalent of around £29.6 million in which one EFC supporter described as a ‘bargain’ on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/TheGwladysSt/status/1298680679279058946).

Indeed, this would be a statement signing from Carlo Ancelotti given the pedigree of the 29-year old, as he has two UEFA Champions League titles as well as several other major trophies to his name, according to [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/james-rodriguez/erfolge/spieler/88103).
