# Everton: Fans hail Josh King transfer news

**Many Everton fans have been hailing a report from [The Athletic](https://theathletic.co.uk/2361951/2021/02/03/everton-and-joshua-king-a-move-that-screams-win-win/) which claims that Josh King signed for less than the original reported transfer fee on Deadline Day.**

The Goodison Park faithful have finally managed to secure themselves a decent back-up striker to Dominic Calvert-Lewin following the exits of Moise Kean, Cenk Tosun and Ellis Simms on loan deals for the rest of the 2020/21 term, and it seems as if it came at a cut-price too.

The Norway international has a lot of experience playing in the Premier League with AFC Bournemouth, with no fewer than 48 goals and a further 15 assists in 161 matches in total across five consecutive seasons in the English top-flight ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-king/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/91059/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=GB1&pos=&trainer_id=)).

Having played in the division before, the 29-year-old should not need much time to adapt, and so could well hit the ground running straight away.
