# Everton: Fans hail link to Chelsea ace Kurt Zouma

**Lots of Everton fans have been hailing a transfer link to Chelsea ace Kurt Zouma as Duncan Castles revealed on [The Transfer Window podcast](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYTB_3vsmC0&app=desktop) that he could return to Goodison Park in the summer window.**

Indeed, the [£25.2 million-valued](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kurt-zouma/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/157509/plus/0?saison=&verein=29&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) man played in 36 games in all competitions in the 2018/19 season for the Toffees on loan from Stamford Bridge, scoring two goals and making a further two assists, according to [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kurt-zouma/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/157509/plus/0?saison=&verein=29&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=).

However, it looks as if Carlo Ancelotti’s team may swoop in again for the French international as a possible alternative to transfer target Gabriel, who [may well be going to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal instead](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/everton-fc-transfer-rumours/everton-fans-react-to-update-on-gabriel-as-arsenal-now-lead-chase/).

Nevertheless, Zouma could be an upgrade on the current central defenders at the Blues, as he averaged more interceptions, passes and long balls than Mason Holgate, Michael Keane and Yerry Mina in the Premier League in the last campaign, as per [Whoscored](https://www.whoscored.com/PlayerComparison).

100% might even have him over Gabriel from the get go. Zouma was superb for us .
