# Everton: Fans hail Muhamed Besic as he is set for Rangers move

**Lots of Everton fans have been hailing Muhamed Besic as [Fourth Official](https://twitter.com/FourthOfficial_/status/1312004229574397952) has reported that he has travelled to Scotland ahead of a medical with Steven Gerrard’s Rangers, and assuming that it is successful, will join up with the Gers on loan for the rest of the 2020/21 term.**

Indeed, the 28-year old has not played a single game for the Merseyside club since [2017](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/muhamed-besic/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/93905/plus/0?saison=&verein=29&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=), and so perhaps it is a wise idea to let him go before the summer transfer window officially shuts, even if it is only on a loan deal.

Besic played in nine games in the Premier League while out on loan to Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United in the 2019/20 term, showing his desire to get stuck into duels by winning 2.4 of his on average each match, according to [Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/player/muhamed-besic/124960).

These members of the Goodison Park faithful hailed the Bosnia international on Twitter, with one EFC supporter, perhaps in a satirical manner, even claiming that ‘he’ll launch Scott Brown,’ referring to a potential battle in the centre of midfield in the Old Firm derbies with Celtic, and another Toffee labelling him as a ‘solid player:’

> He is a solid player, got a good detemined attitude on the pitch. Just didnt work out for us.
